Welcome to MilestonePrep ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our iOS application.

Information We Collect

MilestonePrep is designed to collect zero personal data. Specifically:

• No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information.
• No Analytics or Tracking: MilestonePrep does not include any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party data collection tools.
• No Advertising: The app contains no advertisements and no ad-related tracking.
• No Crash Reporting: We do not use third-party crash reporting services.

Data Stored on Your Device

All information you create within MilestonePrep is stored exclusively on your device using a local database (Realm). This includes:

• Milestone Events: Event names, dates, types (exam, travel, wedding, birthday, anniversary, moving, interview), descriptions, and status.
• Preparation Items: Task titles, completion status, phase assignments, priority levels, reminder dates, and notes.
• Event Notes: Journal entries and reflections attached to events.
• App Settings: Theme preference, notification settings, and display options stored via UserDefaults.

This data never leaves your device unless you create an iCloud or iTunes backup.

Device Permissions

MilestonePrep may request the following optional permissions:

• Notifications (UNUserNotification): Used to send local reminders for your events and preparation items. All notifications are processed entirely on your device by iOS — no data is sent to external servers.
• Calendar Access (EventKit): If you choose to sync events to your iOS Calendar, the app reads and writes events to your local calendar. Calendar data is managed by iOS and is not transmitted to us.

Both permissions are optional. The app works fully without them. You can revoke permissions at any time through iOS Settings.

Widgets

MilestonePrep provides home screen and lock screen widgets that display upcoming event countdowns and preparation progress. Widget data is shared between the app and the widget extension using an App Group container stored locally on your device. No widget data is transmitted externally.

Third-Party Services

MilestonePrep uses no third-party services that collect user data. The only external services involved are:

• Apple App Store: For app distribution and updates (governed by Apple's privacy policy).
• Apple Local Notification System: For on-device notification delivery.
• Apple EventKit: For on-device calendar integration.

We do not share, sell, or transmit any user data to third parties.

Data Security

Your data is protected by the security features of your iOS device, including device encryption and app sandboxing. Since no data is transmitted over the network, there is no risk of data interception during transmission.

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• View: All your data is visible and accessible within the app at any time.
• Edit: You can modify any event, preparation item, or note at any time.
• Delete: You can delete individual events or all data through the app. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored data.
• Permissions: You can enable or disable notification and calendar permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Children's Privacy

MilestonePrep does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages (rated 4+).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
